Welcome to Chinese class!  It is my goal to make learning Chinese a fun and rewarding experience.


During the year we will be covering the Indiana Academic Standards for East Asian Languages, including the following:

Standards 1-3:  Communication:  Write/speak, interpret/present information in a language other
                               than English.
Standard 4:      Cultures:  Develop awareness of other cultures.
Standard 5-6:   Connections:  Connect to other subject areas, access and connect information
                               through various media.
Standard 7:      Comparisons:  Investigate the nature of language and culture.
