Knox High School & Students Receive National and State Academic Awards!

KHS is nationally recognized as one of America's Best High Schools and has received the Four Star School award for Indiana! We made the list of America's Best High Schools and earned a Bronze Award for 2017 from U.S. News and World Report! KHS has received this coveted honor for four consecutive years! Congratulations KHS!

This is a distinction the school has been awarded for 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Greetings!

Knox High School is a wonderful school that has seen success in a number of areas and we continue to be excited about sharing enriching experiences with our students. We feel that it is important to keep the line of communication open between the teachers of Knox High School and the parents of the students that attend. Our staff is committed to excellence and we know as a team with parents we can create an environment that allows many opportunities for our students to excel. Congratulations to the tennis team.  They are the HNAC Champions.  All players placed first in their bracket.  They are:
#1 Singles - Eian Coad

#2 Singles - Sequoya Elder
#3 Singles - Jacob Heineman
#1 Doubles - Ethan Cooper & Jake Krueger
#2 Doubles - Corey Hackler & Jonathan Tolson

Congratulations to #1 Singles - Eian Coad and #2 Singles - Sequoya Elder for winning their matches at sectionals.  Eian advances to the singles state tournament with a school record of 17-2.

Congratulations to Seth Hernandez and Cade Krueger for being named all conference in cross country.  Congrats also to Lindsey Simpson for being named honorable mention.

Congratulations to Eian Coad for winning the first round of tennis state finals  6-2, 6-1.  This increases the school record in a season at #1 singles to 18-2. Winning at this stage ties him with Corey Clemons (1999-2000).

Congratulations to these cross country runners for advancing to regionals:  Seth Hernandez, Cade Krueger, Sophie Flora, Olivai Doty, Lindsey Simpson, and Hailey Thompson.

Congratulations to Nathan Sustaita for being named to the Region 2 defensive team by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

Congratulations to Kade Wagner for being HNAC champion in his weight class.  Congrats also to Dusty Krick for placing 2nd in his weight class.

Congratulations to Kooper Broeker for scoring his 1000 points in basketball.  Kooper becomes the 11th member of the 1000 Point Club.

Congratulations to Kade Wagner, Deacon Beniot, and Dallas McCarty for advancing to wrestling regional competition.

Congratulations to these swimmers for being named to the swim all conference team for the HNAC and for setting new conference records: Cynthia Garbison, Logan Berndt, Daniel Darda, Cassandra Waletzko, and Noah Kender.  Congratulations to these swimmers for being honorable mention: Noelle Heise, Destiny Bennett, Alyssa Minix, Justin Tompkins, Sequoya Elder, and Abbigail McClure.

Congratulations to Kade Wagner for advancing to wrestling semi state.

Congratulations to Lindsey Simpson for being named to the girls basketball all-conference team.  Congrats also to Leslie Kroft and Makayla Richie for making honorable mention.

Congratulations to these athletes for qualifying for the Indoor State Track and Field meet at Indiana University on Saturday:  Kooper Broeker and Payton McIntire in the long jump, Sophie Flora in the 60m dash and the men's 4x400 relay team of Kooper Broeker, Blake Risner, Anthony Posey, and Jacob Heineman.

Congratulations to Tara Conley for breaking the school record in the shot put.

Congratulations to McKenzie McIntire for throwing a no hitter at the Westville Tournament

Congratulations to Payton McIntire for winning the long jump in the HNAC meet and earning All Conference Honors.  Congrats also to Sophie Flora for being named Honorable Mention All Conference in the 100 dash, 200 dash, and 400 dash.

Congratulations to Shelby Faverty and Cameron McGowan for making All Conference in girls tennis.

Congratulations to the 4x800 relay team of Anthony Posey, Cade Krueger, Pedro Guerrero, and Jacob Heineman, and Kooper Broeker in the 400m dash for being named to the All Conference boys track team.  Congrats also to Kooper in the long jump and Jacob Heineman in the 800m run for receiving All Conference Honorable Mention.

Congratulations to McKenzie McIntire for throwing her second no hitter of the season against Argos.

Congratulations to Sophie Flora for winning sectionals in the 400m dash.

Congratulations to Sommer Shepherd and Maria Hasnerl for winning their match at sectional.

Congratulations to these boys from the track team for advancing on to regionals:  Kooper Broeker in the 100 and 400, Jacob Heineman in the 800, the 4x800 relay team of Anthony Posey, Cade Krueger, Pedro Guerrero, and Jacob Heineman, and the 4x400 relay team of Kooper Broeker, Anthony Posey, Blake Risner, and Jacob Heineman.
